My daughter had a visit with Stuart Weinberger, MD, Gastro about 2 1/2 weeks ago . She has a diagnosis of IBS and was having issues that go along with it. He totally blew her concerns off telling her she was thin, and normal to not go to bathroom for 5 days straight. Made no medical plan with her to help her. Very caring and referred us to the best possible surgeon for issues we had to deal with. He answered all our questions and stayed engaged in the process through out. Extremely caring and careful with procedures and explanations of all the steps needed. Highly recommend.
I gave 5 stars based on the Dr. and Staff BUT, As others have said, Caremount Et Al needs to put emphasis on better handling of call backs and answering the phone. The Doctor is terrific, that staff is pleasant, perhaps stressed, which is understandable considering the communications within "Caremount", from dealing with the insane phone menu, to waiting and waiting and waiting on hold, to no call backs, or in this day and age, an email... My initial appointment was fine enough. Dr. Weinberger listened to my questions and explained things clearly to me. However, trying to reach his office in any way is nearly impossible. 95% of the time I call nobody picks up the phone. Instead, I am given the option to leave a voice message, or be connected to a general operator. If I opt for the general operator, it takes around half an hour for someone to pick up, meanwhile you'll be listening to the grating muzack the entire time you're on hold.
