I am very frustrated. I’m writing this review out of desperation and hopes I will hear from Dr. Kollander’s office. I’ve been contacting the office over and over for about month and no word about our insurance approval for my daughter‘s wisdom teeth extraction. Dr. Kollander is truly the best oral surgeon. I have been going to him for more than 20 years, and he has always been incredibly gentle, compassionate, and caring with me. Years ago, he removed all four of my wisdom teeth at once while I was awake, and I never felt any pain. Most recently, I had an emergency with a small sliver of tooth sticking through my gum that was extremely painful. He was able to see me right away. Extremely rude! Avoid at all cost. Plenty of other dentists in this neighborhood. Update: To clarify, I never said that I saw the doctor. My experience was with the front desk staff, and I never even got the opportunity to see the doctor because I was still trying to ask about scheduling an appointment when I was treated rudely. Dr. Kollander chipped my wife’s tooth during a wisdom tooth extraction and then denied it happened. When she raised the issue, he dismissed her, said nothing was wrong, and walked away. No acknowledgment, no explanation, no accountability. This is completely unacceptable. If you cause harm to a patient, you address it—period. Ignoring it and refusing to take responsibility shows a lack of professionalism and respect for patients.
