If you have facial trauma I highly recommend Vanderbilt Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, NOT Dr. Press. After being involved in an accident with facial fractures I was referred to Dr. Press. I took my Scans on a disk to him, he said he couldn't read the disk and would take it to the hospital to see if one of their machines could read it. He scheduled me for surgery and I never heard from him again. Dr. Press operated on my 16 year old daughter two years ago. He did a fabulous job on the surgery and had an amazing bedside manner.
Dr. Press saved my teeth, jaw, face, life. Over the last two and a half years he has been more available than any doctor I have ever encountered. There are a ton of good doctors out there with good hearts. Dr. Press is one of these but beyond that, his heart of gold shines. You can’t fake this kind of compassion.
I was looking up his address for some insurance things and saw someone gave him a one star review. That's insane! Dr. Press is by far the most compassionate and gifted surgeon I have ever encountered. I was in a traumatic accident that could have left me deformed and unable to eat or talk properly and he fixed me up. I have a long recovery but unless I told you about why I am currently wearing braces, you would never know the extent of what happened to me.
