Amazing Dr. Very thoughtful and kind. Spends time with his patients and cares about my opinions.
Great man and a great doctor. I will tell you up front you will wait before your appointment. The reason for that is when he enters the room with you he is there with you 100 precent. He takes his time, listens to your concerns, won’t prescribe you medicine you don’t need, and discusses all your options. Been seeing him for 3 years now and I couldn’t recommend him more.

Husband and I visited Dr Fortson during Covid and we didn't "gel", but today, husband had an appt and I visited with Phil. Dr. Fortson was concerned, caring, helpful, thorough and gave helpful information. We are elderly and just cannot keep tearing up I-20 going to Birminghsm doctors. Now we see we don't need to. Thank you to the whole staff in Pell City!
I cannot say enough good things about Dr Fortson. He was recommended a few years ago by a neighbor. She said he saved her dad’s life. Dr Fortson listens to you, takes his time going over lab numbers and explaining what they mean, answering questions, and shows a friendly and knowledgeable demeanor without talking down or over you like some physicians do.
