I love Dr.Shassberger. He has never made me feel not heard. I have been through 2 pregnancies with seeing him. I have zero complaints as he has always been encouraging and informative to me.
I had a bunch of issues going on with me. I mentioned a concern about how painful sex was. I got a lecture in front of his students about how much husband needs to 'prep' me better. went to another dr and had surgery...it was stage 2 endometriosis.
When I visited Dr. Shassberger for the first time, he told me 'Gross.' when I told him I hadn't had a period in 6 months and wanted to get my period back. Since then, he cannot tell me how it is caused because I do not fall under the case of 99% of PCOS patients and is more interested in pushing pills than finding out the source of my issue.
I am one that only goes to a dr when necessary and this is my 2nd round of visits with him. The first round being about 4 years ago. It's difficult for a woman to be comfortable with a male dr but he is very classy and well spoken with a calm demeanor that oozes respect and knowledge. He speaks to the point and waits for questions then answers concisely so that not only do you know your diagnosis/prognosis but you leave feeling educated in your matter.
