I had a way Better Experience with Dr. Marra than these reviews state . He’s definitely Straight Forward and points out Negatives but it’s only in the spirit of getting you better. I’m sure a person with his knowledge has Sooo much information to give you and so little time to do so during an appointment that’s only gonna last 30 mins, Max. Dr. Marra did not have basic bedside manner and belittled my concerns. He turned the fault onto me by assuming my lifestyle, rather than trying to understand my recurrent health concern. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. He did not listen to my history, assumed my habits based on my age (22 & in college), and lectured me about phone use, not getting sleep and the coffee I brought in, as well as the food I eat (I have healthy sleep, I don't eat processed foods, my phone was used to show him pictures relating to the visit, and I had a coffe... read more
Dr. Marra was so attentive to my multitude of concerns and spent time patiently explaining everything to me. He gave me lots of non-pharmacological options to help me and said to try this before taking antibiotics. Most doctors just write a script to get you out the door!
Beware! Lack of transparency, and obscene hidden fees thrown on the patient.
Not a great listener- had to correct him about 10 times about assumptions he made about me or things he misunderstood. I also just wanted a hearing test and he put a camera down my throat to see my vocal chords (which he didn’t ask if I wanted to do- suddenly he had the scope in his hand) and I got charged $1300 for just that. And then he gave me a referral to get a hearing test. Would have been great to know up top that he wasn’t going to do the thing that i came to have done.
