Excellent doctor. Thorough, kind and compassionate every time I visit him.
I've been seeing Dr Welsh for about a year. He has been attentive, discussed and explained origin of my problems. Appears concerned follows up on his own initiative when appropriate. He does do telephone appointments. I've been very pleased with my relationship.
He basically argued with me that he knew me better than myself (after the second time we ever met) and refuses to do anything that you would personally like to do and believe would work best for yourself, and will ONLY allow what he believes you should do. You have no say in your treatment, only what he thinks best. He tries to diagnose you like a therapist. He acts likehe is trying to be your bishop, not dr. Self righteous, refuses to respect your wishes if they aren't aligned with him morally.
Dr. Welsh is a perfect fit for me. I am 73, very active and interested in maintaining good health through diet and exercise, not drugs. After my physical Dr. Welsh spent nearly 1/2 hour explaining all the tests and discussing what I could do to improve or maintain my health as I age. He listened to my questions and concerns and addressed them in a thoughtful and helpful way. I'm happy my gynecologist recommended Dr. Welsh for my family physician.
