I am a veterinarian who utilizes Dr. Schwartz routinely on behalf of my clients/patients. I do understand where people are coming from, how she might seem abrasive/abrupt. However, there is a reason. She needs the information in a certain format to be highly effective. Adding information will skew her evaluation. She has become an incredible resource to me as a DVM.

As a local trainer I've long been concerned with Dr Schwartz - as have my colleagues. We have no idea how she got board certified. Her knowledge does not reflect current scientific knowledge of behaviour, and it does not reflect proper ethics. I've worked with several clients who have come to me after seeing her and her behavior plans do more harm than good. Please report her to the board if you've had that experience with her. There's just not been enough people filing complaints.

Dr. Schwartz is unnecessarily arrogant and brush on her first phone conversation. Based on her behavior towards me in our first conversation I decided against her as our behaviorist for our dog. As a mental health professional I know that she cannot adequately assess behavior when she does not have insight into her own. I believe Dr Schwartz reported my initial review as its no longer on Google, which echoed everyone else about her belief in dominance theory which has been WELL de-bunked. She was also consistently late to my appts as well, which is rude considering I paid like $450 for the appts?! What she suggests would have worsened my dog rather than helping him overcome his fears. Please go to any other VB in the area (SD/LA/remote) if you have a scared/fearful dog.

I called Dr Schwartz as a new client and she was super short with me. I began explaining the issue my dogs were experiencing and she interrupted me and asked me to keep it short. I then tried to tell her as briefly as possible what was happening and then she said curtly, "well I still don't have a good idea what's going on" well yeah you asked me to keep it brief lol.
