When I was newly diagnosed with T1D I asked Dr. Addington to help me get approved for T-shield to slow down the progression of my disease. She said she would, but never did and because of the delays I now no longer qualify for the clinical trial. She also has a habit of saying 'I'll be right back' and leaving the room during your appointnent & just never comes back. She also abruptly closed her Frisco practice with 5 weeks notice via email leaving her patients scrambling to find a new provider. Would not reccomend.
I had an appointment for 2 months that I was waiting on. This appointment for me is serious. I’ve been calling almost everyday to try and move my appointment up. After waiting all that time, 2 weeks before my appointment, they cancel due to her leaving the Plano location. I left my HSA card at home. I asked the receptionist if I could make my payment as soon as I left the appointment. I was billed for labs before, in which was paid immediately upon the receipt of the bill, so I know they have the ability to bill me. The receptionist stepped behind a wall to ask another lady who could have possibly been the office manager. I honestly think Dr. Addington is a nice person and I had a great 1st (and only) appointment with her. I was told to stop all adrenal supplementation so that I could come back for an ACTH test. However, it’s been 2.5 weeks and I haven’t heard back. I left 2 voicemails and 1 portal message and no one has bothered to follow-up with me. I’ve never experienced this kind of treatment from a doctor’s office before. I’m not sure if it’s incompetence or if the doctor just doesn’t want to take my case.
