Didn't even see Dr Eng due to a few issues. The new patient intake process for Port Hardy is so confusing and poorly set up -- I followed the weird steps but didn't hear from anyone so after a few weeks I called the Nanaimo office. The person I spoke to said they had no idea when they could book me an appointment because they had SO MANY other new patient forms to go through first. Professional. Friendly. Get it done attitude from the front counter right to the pre exam and also with very skilled Doctor. I felt looked after on a Friday where it was very busy and things were still looked after. Thank you for looking after my requirements and being so proficient as well. I would recommend anyone to visit this place.
Tried to book an appointment twice now and unhelpful staff make it impossible. Fyi - talking over people, cutting them off and contradicting them isn't great customer service! People with disabilities and multiple barriers to treatment, need care and compassion and deserve respect. Not to be challenged when trying to give basic information. I get that you're not from here and have to travel up island, but don't make that the patients' issue!!
Dr. Eng and his cohesive team of front end professionals are true blue! Both phone calls and in person interactions were friendly and efficient at the same time. I enjoyed getting to know Dr. Eng and his staff during my visits this summer. I felt heard and very 'taken care of' by everyone. Plus I love my new prescription sunglasses and my every day glasses. Each visit was very positive, friendly, and personal. Thanks!
