Prescribed very expensive antibiotic that gave me side effects. Changed to a more common one that is contraindicated with my level of kidney disease. In other words, I should never take it! When I mentioned my kidney disease, he did not even know what I was talking about, although it is the first thing I tell all new doctors. It appears he never read the chart or listened to me. Dr. Kraus and his staff have been excellent throughout every step of this journey. We found him to be caring and thorough. His explanations and follow up have been shared with empathy. As a nurse, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Kraus.
Arrogant, short tempered, very short on time-always rushed, but (we think/hope) competent surgeon. If you are looking for a surgeon who looks to you to be a part of the decision making together, or one who will take the time to sit and listen respectfully to your concerns and questions--go elsewhere.
I"ve been a patient of Dr. Kraus for 25 years and will not go to another Urologist. He is a little energetic, but he does give you the time you need to have anything explained. His office staff is great and the nurse Maria is also a joy to work with. Never a problem with my buddy Stan.....
Dr.Krause ,took the time to explain everything he was doing and what was going to happen he just moved a little to fast for me jumping from room to room made me question hand washing inbetween ! I liked him very much and would recommend him .I had to come back for a procedure it was a good experience my only negative was the bathroom was dirty, Prell dispenser was empty 2 weeks .
Found my prostate cancer in 2015 ... 3 1/2 years later PSA less than .5%. Caring compassionate man who has been supportive every step of the way. Took the time to answer all of my and my wife's questions.
I was never taken in on time for my appointments, the last time I waited over a half hour. Dr. Kraus did not spend much time with me, and I didn't feel he was giving me enough information. The office staff didn't notify me when a urine culture came back positive for a UTI, and they also failed to notice that the order for my 24 hour urine test didn't go through. Both times I discovered this when calling the office back. I would not recommend him.
I trust his judgement, he knows what he's doing and he is a nice spirited man.
