Dr. Periyanayagam is the first doctor who has educated me on my condition and suggested that NO surgery would work for me. After years of searching and dodging knife happy surgeons, I have finally found a very competent and honest doctor who cares about his patients and understands their pain. There are alternatives to surgery! I'm ONLY 74 yrs old and love my horses - THANK YOU
Dr. Periyanayagam performed two surgeries on me. The first was repairing a herniated disk in the lower back, L-4 & L-5. I did everything he advised me to do and I healed quickly and did not require any pain medicine. The second surgery was after a vehicle accident in which I sustained a neck injury. He explained the course of surgery and had to fuze C-4-5,-6 & 7 so I have a little decrease in range of motion, turning my head somewhat on one side but he did a great job.
