Excellent doctor. Calming, measured and wonderful presence for the birth of our first child.
Dr Simona was at the birth of our second daughter. We are so incredibly thankful for her and have had such a wonderful experience. She is kind, compassionate, thorough, you can tell she absolutely loves her job and is very passionate about the health and wellbeing of your child. She picked up hip dysplasia issues when my daughter was born and was able to have us seen to by a reputable paed ortho surgeon within two days of her diagnosis, rather than the 28 day wait with the public hospital. Have nothing but good things to say about Dr Sabau. She's calming, thorough and really cares for her patients. We were lucky enough to have Dr Sabau as the paediatrician at Cabrini when I gave birth to my daughter, and have been going to her for follow up appointments since. Shaye on reception is wonderful and super helpful! Great team, highly recommend.
We were allocated Simona for the birth of our son at Cabrini. She didn’t introduce herself before birth, just ‘turned up’ during the c/section, we actually thought she was a nurse throughout as she was so hands off. We didn’t see her again without requesting her. We saw her 3 times and flagged multiple issues with our son in the postnatal stay (breathing issues, jaundice, not waking to feed/lethargic). We were so fortunate to have been recently cared for by Dr Simona Sabau and her husband Dr Colin Sabau. They are the A Team and gave us exceptional care and guidance through out my pregnancy and birth. Both of them have gone over and beyond with checking in and assisting us through the birth of our baby via an emergency c-section. I highly recommend them.! So knowledgeable, caring, genuine and professional! I can not thank them enough for their support and expertise!
