I’m writing this review as a patient of Dr Simon Benstock for several years. Simon Benstock is a doctor but he won’t cure you, he won’t fix you and he will barely treat you, only conforming to the bare minimum for what is legal to practice as a gastroenterologist. Dr Benstock is very personable. He takes time to explain procedures well and is friendly and efficient. I'm not qualified to judge his skill as a Doctor but I assume he is very good. Several specialists I have seen can be very arrogant and abrupt, but Dr. Benstock is the opposite. He has an excellent patient manner.
Dr Benstock diagnosed me with IBS after two 'scopies without checking for food allergies. Was told to follow a FODMAP diet and good luck. Things didn't get better so I saw an allergy specialist off my own back and it turns out I had some pretty common food allergies. I expect from a specialist given how common autoimmune conditions are!
Kind caring and a wonderful doctor.
Goes out of the way to help you, and looks outside the square for things that are happening. One of the best doctors going.
