Very disappointing experience. I was referred to Dr. Sheila Takhar during my pregnancy, but from the moment I contacted the office, I felt unwelcome. I was referred to Dr. Thakkar for health issue that required surgery. Started off half decent and resulted in surgery date. I was contacted a month before to tell me my surgery needed to be rescheduled because the doctor had to go on vacation. They told me they would call me in January to reschedule and never did. Several months later, I experienced pain and contacted them for a date. They provided a new surgery date and no further details till I had to call to follow up a week before to find out logistics. If I could give zero stars, I would. My family physician sent a referral 20 days ago, yet this office neglected to process it or even provide a timely response, only to eventually refuse the referral altogether. Sitting on a request for nearly three weeks before rejecting it is a administrative failure. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour. Don’t always trust the high ratings.
