My experience with Dr. McKay has been very unpleasant. I came here today for a tonsil stone checkup and left without being informed of an effect solution. The only things that he told me were that I can use a water flosser and some people use baby soap to get rid of it (it will continue appearing again regardless). What did it for me was that when I recieved a call from an unknown caller in the middle of the appointment, he quickly rushed out of the room like he didn’t want to say another word to me anymore. Went in for a small spot on my thyroid that needed to be removed. Turned out to be cancer. Dr.McKay was very quick at every appointment and o ended up with a paralyzed vocal cord. Did he find it. No. When I went in for my follow ups, I complained of breathing issues, he didn’t even exam me. Just looked at my scar and told me what a great job he did. I had to go to another surgeon to have a scope done, where they immediately found that my vocal cord was paralyzed. I have spent 9 months on therapy for breathing and to strength... read more
I am VERY disgusted and will go further with this incident. My daughter went for a FOLLOW UP after getting her adenoids and tonsils removed. She needed to spit before Dr. McKay checked in her mouth. Instead of him letting her spit as I stated to him. He proceeds to say she can just swallow it. FORCEFULLY grabs her by her arm and her head to put a popsicle stick in her mouth. My dad went to see Dr. McKay twice with his ear. Dr McKay brushed it off with only giving him antibiotics. Went back to see Dr McKay with no improvement whatsoever and all Dr McKay done was give my dad 30 days of antibiotics again. I then took my dad to Charleston ENT where they removed two mass from the very same ear that Dr McKay was treating with antibiotics. The mass came back positive for cancer. Charleston Head and Neck Specialists ended up removing half of my dads ear to get all the cancer. Needless to say we want nev... read more
