I had a disappointing experience with Dr. Sharon Thompson at Central Phoenix OB-GYN a few years ago that still lives with me to this day. As a Black woman, I was honored to have been referred to a Black female OB-GYN and expected to be in good hands — but when I came to her about fibroids, she didn’t examine me or educate me at all. Unprofessional and unresponsive. Never takes accountability for neglect or misconduct.
This is my first pregnancy! For starters I did not like how when I went in for my first ultrasound she didn’t even do it! Of course the tech can’t tell you anything so I had to wait over 2 weeks to hear anything about it! Then when I finally met her she came in the room over an hour after my scheduled appointment time and was like so what are your questions?
