My wife has ME/CFS. Dr. Doran did not appear interested in learning about this bizarre illness. It was disappointing to have a doctor at an esteemed institution appear to have very little intellectual curiosity. Basically, since this wasn't a 'standard' neurological issue she knew how to treat, she said she wasn't able to help and that we should see an immunologist, or infectious diseases doctor, or psychiatrist (I forgot which). Had a great experience and made what was a procedure I was not looking forward to much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend her!
My husband has been experiencing many neurological symptoms that brought us to UCLA Santa Monica Neurology. He was seen by Dr. Doran a few times. During the first visit we were met by Dr. Doran's assistant whom asked what was going on. My husband listed everything that he was experiencing-next Dr. Doran came in and he had to repeat everything.
