I was prescribed Divalproex 500 mg daily, which caused double vision and dizziness. I brought up my concerns multiple times, but the doctor showed no interest in addressing them. Additionally, scheduling an appointment is extremely difficult, and they are unresponsive on the MyChart app. The overall experience has been frustrating— a complete waste of time and money. I would not recommend this practice.
Dr. Benbadis prescribed me a medication that caused me to get double vision and dizzy and I could not walk for hours everyday. Then a few months later I went paralyzed for 12 hours. It takes him a week to approve of a medication and I have to go to the hospital to get them. One time I had a seizure because I did not have the medication I needed. He is a terrible doctor.
Please understand that my review is not intended as a slight against this man's intelligence. Unquestionably, he possesses a vast wealth of knowledge about epilepsy and various neurological conditions. Yet, what profoundly disturbs me is his apparent lack of passion for improving his bedside manner. Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had with a nuerologist. Its been over a year since last treatment and I’m still fixing what him and his office screwed up. I’d encourage everyone to get more than one opinion.
