One star because I cant leave no stars. Dr. Benbadis was my neurologist for 2 years. In the 2 years he rushed me into 2 brain surgeries which left me with more seizures. He allowed me to drive which ended with me having a seizure and wrapping my car around a metal pole. He then dropped me as a patient. Do not go to him. Or Tampa general for any neurological issues. Bayfront in St. Petersburg are way more educated.
I was referred by my regular neuro who believed I would benefit be being observed and withdrawn from an anti epileptic ive been on for years. The only other option is to put my life on hold for 6 months to taper off, which, with kids and a job, isn't an option. However, he wont even have a consult with me as im "not complicated enough" and per his staff, as they laugh, he likes the complicated ones! Oh to find this out took a 45 minute phone call after waiting 3.5 weeks since the referral was submitted.
I don’t understand the bad reviews. Dr. Benbadis and everyone on his team, have always been amazing for me. They got me through some very difficult times and multiple operations and very difficult tests. Do some different research and go there yourself if you’re going through any neurological problems. Worth the trip
Needs to update the location of place and the update of his number cause I can't get ahold of him anywhere and I need to talk to him
I want to file for Malpractice. He refused to see me in person and refused to be a real doctor instead he prefers to just prescribe medication, or increase medication. I went to the primary care and they told me my liver is enlarged due to the medicine. But this guy always said I was fine and refused to see me in person, and told me I wasn't important enough to see in person. Also , I found out I am over medicated. Overall, He does not care about your well being, when you tell him you think something is wrong... He blows it ... read more
