Called 30 times throughout the day on Tuesday to try and connect with the clinic, had to take the afternoon off to go in and book an appointment. The clinic was completely empty and yet no one answers the phones. I am worried my two elderly parents are going to be screwed if they ever need something urgently. I have been a patient at this clinic for over 33 years, and I cannot say enough regarding the staffs ethical and warm approach when interacting with patients. From the nurses to the receptionist, to Dr Archibald, you feel see and heard. Cassie, the receptionist, is even informed on grounding techniques to aid patients undergoing emotional distress and anxiety, showcasing this clinic’s dedication to deliver the best medical care. Love, love, love my doctor! She’s absolutely fantastic, and I have nothing but good things to say about her. The receptionist, however, is another story. Karen was amazing, but the new receptionist is… not it. She spends most of her time complaining and snacking, and it comes across as really unprofessional. I’ve watched her sit there doing nothing, tell patients to check themselves in on the Ocean Kiosk, and then get visibly annoyed when someone needs help — which is literally her job. Their phone system doesn’t work and they claim it does when I ask about it and now they have taken their phone number off Google Maps so you can’t call them.
I was sitting in the waiting room for about 45 minutes and was shocked at what I heard. The young receptionist openly complaining about clients saying personal information for everyone to hear. I heard her say "Give me one reason why I shouldn't close the phones an hour early" to the other receptionist, and she replied "we are two we can answer them."
