Unprofessional. Long waits for schizophrenia patients. Misdiagnosis so that you can be put in clinical trials.
So if I'm supposed to just get over the symptoms that are ruining my life, why do I need to be in a drug trial? Didn't even listen to what I was saying, just tried to manipulate my answers to get what she wanted.
Not impressed at all. I felt terrible about myself after the appointment as well. She completely belittled me. She was very quick to assume things and showed no respect. She was also over an hour late to see me after the time that my appointment was supposed to start...
Dr Atlinson is very professional yet personable. I've been seeing her for several years and feel that she cares deeply for her patients. I wouldn't think of seeing anyone else. One time when I missed an appt without phoning, she had her staff call to check on me. Very easy to talk to ! Her staff is wonderful and takes the time to schedule appts based on YOUR needs
I would recommend Dr. Atkinson. She worked with me to provide the care that I needed. She seriously considered my input and answered my questions with clarity. She spends time needed with her patients. Because of her prioritizing patients who need immediate care you may have to wait a little if you are there for a routine apt.
She was very professional and treated me with respect - I was at a difficult stage not knowing whom to trust. Dr. Atkinson was patient with me; that probably meant spending a little more time with me than scheduled. She responded promptly when I had a crisis at home. I had the confidence that she knew what she was doing. Staff were also very cordial.
