I had a wonderful experience with Dr Villazon office, care and surgery. He took the time to explain the surgery and aftercare. Loved everything about my cataract surgery experience.
Dr. Villazon is very text book and seems not to care about what the patient has to say. His responses to questions can be dismissive bordering on arrogant. My neighbor needed a procedure that Dr. VIllazon said was not possible and too risky to try. They went to another surgeon who had no problem whatsoever successively doing that procedure without question.
Dr. V's manner is disappointing and bothersome. He doesn't seem to listen carefully or even care about my daughter's visual difficulties. He has also defensively back-pedaled on a number of suggestions he has no memory of having made or will take responsibility for. Not good. His defensive responses make me question his competence.
Dr Villazon was a phenomenal doctor to work with. The entire process was well described and prepared for and happened exactly as he presented. This helped ease any anxiety that I had about the process. During the procedure he would guide me through the whole process and ensure I was comfortable and safe. I am now one month post surgery with no complications and exactly as expected from a vision standpoint.
