Dr Macias used to be a decent PCP. I found him to be attentive and helpful several years ago, which is why when I got Pres insurance I went back after some years. In some respects he was still fairly attentive. But, he comes across now as arrogant, and did not listen to me, even when he was wrong and I provided him with facts from the CDC. I doubt I am the first patient to tell him that he doesn't listen well. I hope he does better by his patients in the future.
It's tough to find a good doctor that you can trust with your care. Just to name a few reasons Macias stands out: punctual, empathetic, awesome staff. I like the entire team at Atrisco and I've actually recommended Macias, Higi (my son's doctor) and Ahuja.
A most excellent Doctor and human being. I've always found him completely attentive, empathetic, friendly, knowledgeable and available. Scheduling immediate appointments with him has always been very easy. His staff follows suit; followups to phone calls have always been prompt. I feel safe in their care. Been with Dr. Macias now for over three years.
