He is a distasteful workers compensation doctor, he doesn’t want to see you and claims that he cares and if you disagree with him he writes a bad report on you. He workers for workers compensation not to help the patient. He told me that I was fine nothing to worry about cause it’s only a protruding disc on l4-5 but found out it was an l3-4, l4-5, l5- s1 and that the pain in my left leg had nothing to do with my injuries but in fact it very much does. Dr. treated me as if he didn't have the time of day for me, he said to me I don't see anything exciting here.
I was seen by him multiple times for herniated disc and plenty of pain and was never unsatisfied with his bedside manner. He discussed options with me and was happy to work with me through pain management steps in conjunction with my wishes to avoid surgery if at all possible. We worked through multiple treatment plans and I have continued to have a very successful, physical, career. Yes, RUN!!! Bfr surgery, in pain. Aft surgery (Dr Cronen) confined to wheel chair, in rehab for 30 days. Now 3 yrs later still in pain. Use electric scooter, 4 wheeled walker and cane w/ 24/7 pain. Fixed L-4/L-5 but created nerve damage at S-1 (which was not a problem before surgery). No explanation, no treatment plan, just a "Oh well", " find someone else to deal with that" demeanor. Terrible doctor! Run! He's rude and arrogant and his bedside manner is cold and uncaring. He spoke to me as if I were stupid and he was completely unconcerned about my pain. Told me I should see a different specialist because my pain had nothing to do with the bulging and herniated discs nor the bone spurs on my spine. I've seen three different specialists and I was referred to him by a fellow Florida Medical Clinic physician. Dr. Cronen is tops in the state of Florida. In January 2016 he performed surgery to fuse my C-spine. I have enjoyed an excellent outcome! In August 2016 he fused my spine T-3 / L-3 to correct severe scoliosis. There were other surgeons who just couldn't be bothered with my case, and in hindsight, thank goodness as this lead me to Dr. Cronen. I can not say enough good about this man. I am almost 5 months post-op and doing extremely well. I owe my new life to him.
Owned by workmans comp. Focused on one part of MRI and ignored other parts of injury. Spent no more than 30-45 seconds viewing MRI and didnt bother to even look at report. Offered to send me to the zombie makers at pain management.
