Do not waste your time (or his) if you do not need $$$$ major surgery. I have been living with chronic back pain for over 5 years. At my followup appointment he spent a whopping 10 minutes with me and told me that he was not willing to help me and dismissed me. No suggestions or alternative treatments. I was completely shocked. But after reading the comments on this site I see that I am not the only one he has been rude to.
Treated me like a used dish rag. As if I were beneath his care. I heard he was great with surgery but had poor manners. I should have listened. Basically told me the issues I?ve been having or previously diagnosed with (even by himself weeks earlier) were fictitious. To ?take an aspirin?, everyone has pain, it?s a part of life. Then sent me on my way. When I requested a second opinion, he signed off on my workers comp that I was 100% better, costing me my job because I in fact WASN?T!! This doctor is clearly on the side of workers comp. He said nothing was wrong but age of a 39 year old after several other doctors have diagnosed multiple disc bulge and herniated disc.
After easing my back pain he left me with a drop foot. Now unable to walk. I would never recommend this person to anyone.
My last, and I mean last visit with Dr. Cronen left me baffled wondering if he just didn't want to deal with me anymore or was late for another appointment. He had given me 2 to 3 shots in my spine in the past for severe Sciatica and back pain on separate occasions. I brought him an MRI I received from Florida Orthopedic because it takes forever to get an appointment through Florida Medical, he looked at it and said "I don't see anything"! I found him to be very unprofessional and rude! Never checked me or x-rayed me after 4 weeks of a spinal fracture! Actually acted like he didn’t care! He did nothing to help me in any way! I’m 73 been in Florida Medical since 1986 when they started and to be treated like that is just rude and unprofessional! I do not recommend this doctor to anyone! Needs to be fired!
Dr. Cronen is a fine surgeon and human being. I trust him in his guidance for my back issues.
This doctor is terrible he is non caring and will lie to get you out his office if it’s worker’s compensation injury will lie for worker’s compensation
Dr Cronen saw me about back injuries from a 5 times rollover crash. In the accident I broke my nose bruised my eye socket, torn my left and right rotator cuff in 2 places on each side, and herniated and created bulging disc in L5 area and herniated and bulging disc in my neck. The first visit he never examined my back which I thought was strange.
