This is a review of an involuntary encounter I had with this doctor. I had submitted online a question to my PCP (not Shelli Bodnar) requesting clarifications on the specifics of an upcoming blood test since these were not properly documented in the online EPIC system. Unfortunately, my PCP was out that day, and Shelli chose to respond with a curt message that clearly showed she had not understood what was being asked, and then she adds that I should look at the online portal for the (non-existent) answer to my question. Rude and unprofessional front desk who treats you like they are doing a favor. Makes scheduling a nightmare and scheduled an appointment at 4.45 knowing their office closes at 5. And turned as away when we showed at 4.45. Lacking compassion in the conversation. If you want it, take it attitude. Won’t recommend this office bec of the rudeness of the front desk and the difficulty in getting an appointment. Messed up more than once.
I underwent. a complexed spine including Lumber 3,4,and5 with back pain after surgery the original pain gone . Now three weeks after surgery I walk 1 1/2 miles pain free and walk up and down stairs . I do not lift,bend or twist . I am 80 years old .I really appreciate Dr. Kunwar and staff for all their advice and assistance. Dr. is truly one of a kind person and neurosurgeon.
American health care system is by itself a money mending industry and this particular PCP on top of all of that was trying to make money from me after I said I’m coming in for an annual physical. She insisted that this was a New Patient visit and would not do my physical for which Washington Hospital and the clinic charged me $25 and would only get my physical done on their schedule. My experience with Dr. Kunwar was excellent. He is patient & explained everything about my surgical procedure clearly, both the pros and cons. That made me feel safe and confident. If I don’t understand anything, I can always message him via MyChart. A small detail though. After surgery, no one mentioned anything about loss of taste or smell or constipation. Before switching my Primary care doctor, I called and verified with Dr. Bodnar office and confirmed with front desk , they are accepting new patience and this happened on July 7th. After the confirmation I called insurance and add Dr. Bodnar as my primary doctor. On July 8th I called doctor's office to make an appointment. The scheduler said new patient appointment is on October only. I've had horrible hemorrhoids for over 20 years. Every time I have a bowel movement, I have a flare up, so I'm in constant pain. I have not seen Dr. Eichbaum yet. I have a comment on the Patient Registration package. It required the potential patient to give social security number, the PHOTO COPIES of the driver's license and the insurance card - front AND back sides. (The following is the actual instructions from the doctor office : "Instructions: Please include photo id and insurance card with your packet." Dr. Achanta is the absolute best. He is a phenomenal surgeon and human! He and his PA are warm and caring. They are smart, thorough and dedicated to helping you. Dr. Achanta was there for me day and night no matter what during my surgeries and still to this day, he provides continued support. I truly feel like he was meant to be a doctor in this life to help ease people’s fears and show them there is faith to be had in our medical practices and restore faith in good will and good people.
