Our visit today was very pleasant. Dr. Cantu came into the room with a great attitude and made my son feel absolutely comfortable. He explained his diagnosis perfectly in terms that even my 7 year old could understand. He gave a treatment plan as well as went the extra step to order blood work to rule out other less common diagnoses that could be contributing to the reason we went in. Dr Cantu is a caring doctor who listened to our concerns and treated us with respect.
I blame the staff and Cooks at large for the terrible experience we had. I believe they overbook Dr. Cantu and put him in an impossible situation. Terrible availability- it took us 6 weeks to get an initial appointment. Terrible communication- if I called his staff with questions, I was chastised for not being “mindful of all the calls they receive on a daily basis” and being a nuisance. Our pediatrician referred us to Dr Cantu to help us inform the management of our 5 month old baby who was struggling with gastro esophageal and reflux issues. Despite COVID, we were able to see Dr Cantu relatively quickly and 5 months later, our girl has been released from his management as she is now following a healthy growth path. I personally want to thank Dr Cantu and his team for their help - their job isn’t easy, COVID made it harder and yet, they were always there for our baby.
