Dr Makani is an excellent caring and diligent doctor who deeply cares and goes above and beyond to personally monitor her client’s health. I highly recommend her and trust her.
Recognized the need for a biopsy and did it, probably on her lunch hour and then did research and found a very qualified doctor to do the operation

This morning was my annual check-up with my gynecologist Dr. Samina Makani, in Encinitas. She's compassionate and very knowledgeable, and genuine. I always look forward to seeing her. Terrible experience. Didn’t listen to any of my concerns or questions, rushed through the yearly exam. I asked for bloodwork and she was reluctant to even fill the form out. I requested specific tests and when I got in the car realized she didn’t even mark down half of what I wanted and asked for. I also asked about possibly being pre-menopause due to my age and symptoms I was having. Told me not possible because I was regular still and “too young”. K, thanks.
