Dr Mehta provided me with very personalized care with clear explanations of my options, potential side effects and what to expect the day of my PAE. The procedure went smoothly, the recovery went just as he had outlined and the outcome has been truly life changing. Nocturia went from having to get up every hour or two to just once a night. I can now sit through a full length 2-3 hour movie without having to get up to urinate. No side effects. I would highly recommend Dr Mehta.
I'm posting this to hopefully educate other men who have the same condition as I had. In November of 2020 I underwent a PAE with Dr.Mehta. The outcome was a modest improvement from previous symptoms. As part of the procedure most patients require an MRI of the prostate. I did as well. What troubles me to this day is I had a Dominant Median lobe extending from the top of my prostate into my bladder. Doctor Mehta gave me my life back. This is the shortest way to describe my experience. I recently had the wonderful experience of having a PAE performed by Dr. Mehta and his great staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. I could not have asked for a better group of professionals handling this delicate procedure. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Mehta from the pre-surgery visits, through the operating room and follow up. You know you are in good hands with Dr. Mehta.
