I've had two issues with 2 visits. I'm going ONE MORE TIME to give him a chance to treat me like I'm a person teaching out for mental health at my rock bottom NOT like I'm paper work on a conveyor belt. He mentioned my"seizures" THAT I DON'T HAVE. I need a conversation. I'm my only advocate and I need things explain and a plan to get me feeling better. I'm going to my next appointment with a list of questions and topics. I expect eye contact and answers.
Dr Nagarkar is hands down the best psychiatrist out there. From his 40+ Years of experience to his bedside manner, he was able to give my family the best treatment possible. We all see him. I’m sad he moved to the west side but they are all lucky to have him.
Dr. Nagarkar is one of the friendliest doctors I’ve ever had. He takes great care and is patient with you as you explain your situation. I’m surprised at the other reviews though it’s difficult to judge a review from when he was a residency student 39 years ago to the level of care he gives now. He has always been kind to my family and I and I’ve gone to him for 13 years. Longevity like that says something about this doctor.
Dr. Nagarkar saw me for a brief time during his residency at Nassau Medical Center. He lacked thoroughness and thoughtfulness and made a quick and misinformed diagnosis that caused even greater trauma. I went for help and healing, and received great harm.
I'm an RN, and I facilitated a referral to Dr.'s Nagarkars office at my patients request. It's been two weeks since I made the referral and my patient has yet to receive a date to start treatment. Two weeks, and three calls to his office....and they have yet to even put the patient on his schedule.
Dr. Nagarcar is very personable with his patients. You can ask questions and get answers. Always has a pleasant attitude with a smile on his face.
Dr. Nagarkar lacked knowledge of me. He performed a careless review of my history. He was also careless in his decision to put me in medication.
Dr Nagarkar truly cares about his patients. He always takes the time to check on how I'm currently doing, go over my last appt issues & ask how things are going with those issues as well as anything new in my life. I've seen many psychiatrist thru the years and he definitely is my best one! If you have Dr Nagarkar for your psychiatrist, you are very lucky, hang onto him!
