Dr. Cerejo is the best rheumatologist, but for some reason as of February 2026, I’m finding it difficult to schedule an appointment with him. When I call, I leave a voicemail, then they return my call when I’m unavailable.
Horrible experience! I waited over 2 months for this appt, drove over 40 minutes to get to my scheduled appointment time and was told when I got there that I was supposed to be there 30 minutes prior so they canceled my appointment. Speaking to me as if I’m a child repeatedly saying “Dr. Cerejo runs on time” and you were not here on time. Why would they make my appointment at a certain time and then require me to be there 30 minutes early when I already filled out the paperwork. My wife suddenly came down with Temporal Arteritis .Prednisone was prescribed by a Delray Beach surgeon who intern advised us to find a Rheumatologist. Dr Cerejo came highly recommended. he had a great knowledge of her disease Led us to reducing Prednisone dosage and than prescribed infusion of another drug every 3 weeks . I called to make a appointment to see Dr. Cerejo who comes highly recommended by a friend and after 2 days of trying to reach the office, I finally spoke to someone who said that since I was already seen by another doctor at one of their other locations, I cannot changed doctors and I am stuck with the current one that I have. I expressed how I was unpleased with my current doctor and would like to switch and she responded with no. Receptionist said I was stuck. I have been seeing Doctor Cerejo for about 13 years now and I am extremely happy that I found him. He is very understanding, patient and thorough with his examination and recommendation for treatment of my illness. He is a great Rheumatologist, highly recommend. Staff is also great to work with.
