Over the past two years, our family has unfortunately dealt with many physicians while navigating serious medical issues with our parents. Dr. Settergren is truly exceptional. Our mother was recently admitted to Bolingbrook Hospital in critical condition with an extremely poor prognosis. Dr Settergren took great care of my sister. When she was brought in, we didn't think she would survive the night. Now it's day 4. Every decision doctor made, from what meds to what tests, were exactly what she needed. He spent a lot of time with us, making sure we understood and didn't have any questions. Great bedside manner.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Settergren. My mother was admitted to the hospital completely unresponsive, and her condition was so critical that we weren't sure she would survive the night. I immediately flew from Denver to Chicago, terrified that I might not make it in time to see her. His bedside manner is exceptional. Absolute piece of crap doctor. Poor bedside manner. Judgemental. Dismissive. Sad embarrassment to the profession. I pray no one has him as a doctor. He is a noncommunicater. He does the bare minimum and doesn't care about his patients. I wish I could give no stars. Bolingbrook hospital is a good hospital with great doctors. Its sad that he is a part of their staff.
