I’ve seen dr Dotson a few times and mostly her PA, Katie. Dr Dotson is retiring December 2021 and has no replacement. My video visit today was long due to Dr asking so many questions in the computer related to very old drugs I took well over 8 years ago. And then her retyping stuff Why???why such a waste of time? When I had my first appointment with Dr. Dotson, she was fantastic. Her and the nurse, Katie Henke, seemed committed to helping me. They told me I wasn't crazy & they would figure it out what was causing my POTs or if it was something else. However, crazy was exactly how they made me feel. Katie repeatedly told me that their department doesn't treat my symptom of high blood pressure (I wanted meds to lower HR & BP) and I should tell my primary care doctor. Dr Rose Dotson is the best neurologist that I have seen for my migraines. She has not only the best bedside manner but also is extremely knowledgable on the the latest treatments, shares the information with you, and ensures you understand it. She provides her recommendations but also listens to your thoughts on what has worked and has not. She is very empathetic and I wish all doctors were like her. It is worth it for me to travel and hour to see her.
7 years ago I became chronically ill. During these years I have seen many doctors, including a total of 5 neurologists in 3 states. If there is one thing I've learned it is that not all doctors are equal, and not to blindly trust them. Dr. Dotson isn't just the BEST doctor off all the ones I've seen, she is only of the only genuinely GOOD ones. The most knowledgeable. The most caring. The most respectful. The most positive impact on my life. There is simply no comparison.
I saw Dr. Dotson years ago on Brown Deer Road in Milwaukee. I would never go back. She did tests my referring doctor did not order, & absolutely tortured me with her EMG.
Dr. Dotson is wonderful! She's kind and considerate. She's very intelligent. She goes the extra mile. She's everything you want in a great doctor.
I trust Dr. Dotson implicitly. She treats me for dysautonomia, peripheral neuropathy, stroke and chronic migraines. She is very caring and empathetic. She always listens and tries to understand where you're coming from. She is willing to try new approaches to treating old problems. She is easy to get ahold of when things are urgent. She is an incredible person as well! She never makes me feel rushed no matter how long my appointment takes.
She is a great doctor, she listens real well to what you have to say and answers your questions just as effectively also.
