My sister (who is a patient there) informed Dr. Lana that her family medical changed- I (her sister) was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease. Dr. Lana informed my sister that she has nothing to worry about and told her since it’s not inherited…. Um it’s a genetic disease passed down from my mother so yes, it is. She's direct, and stubborn. She does not heed family history as a significant warning for more testing. Disregards any prior diagnosis even if diagnosed and treated for it prior to visiting for over 20 years. I went to a different OBGYN, he sent me for immediate testing. My bladder was swollen even though she insisted it was fine, uterus did have polyps that caused an issue even though she said it was fine, and part of my kidney had to be removed (which was found and diagnosed 6 months later) as it had a tumor which was affe... read more
