Dr. Thurston has more experience than I can comprehend. He is patient and kind and is a great pharmacologist if you need medication management. I like his style because he really cannot tell you what to do. However he works with you to guide you toward making your own decisions. I have been seeing him for more than a decade and have received so much help. His admin staff is efficient and also polite with every encounter.
THEY GIRLS IN THE OFFICE ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. AND ARE NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. I HAVE NEW INSURANCE AND I'M GOING BACK AND FOURTH BETWEEN DR'S OFFICES TRYING TO GET ONE OF THE TO PUT THE ORDER IN. MEANWHILE I'M OUT OF MEDICINE.

is absolutely no surprise to me that this provider has a 2-star review. I forgot to fill out my paperwork and the receptionist was extremely rude about it. I completely understand that I missed a deadline (hello... I have ADHD - it happens). But there is no call for being condescending about it. Just because there are lots of people in need of your services does NOT give a provider the right to be a jerk. Especially in the MENTAL HEALTH field. I like Dr Thurston very much. He's quiet but compassionate and a good listener. I never feel rushed with him. He's also has a killer dry wit. 5 stars from me!
Worst doctor ever. Shouldn't be a psychiatrist. He just sat and stared at my child when I brought him in during a sensitive time. Until my child silently cried. And then he did not say anything, just went to writing on paper. DON'T TAKE YOUR CHILD TO HIM.
Dr. Thurston is quiet and doesn't really give too much feedback. However, he does listen to you and offers you what he can. On the other hand, the office staff/receptionist are absolutely horrible. They rarely answer the phone, and if you leave a voicemail; do not expect them to call you back. There is no sense of urgency with the office staff, which is very dangerous.
