Dr Cooke is kind, compassionate, and open minded to your mental health needs
My experience with Dr. Cooke was not good. He did listen but failed to address questions and concerns. He did not allow sufficient time to address concerns. I would not recommend him for anyone.
We left one of the large Amherst based Psychiatry practices to see Dr. Cooke. He isn’t the kind of doctor that pushes you out the door in 5 minutes, he actually spends time talking to us which never happened in the large practice. The other advantage is that you’re never rushed in and out only to see a nurse, you always see him. Dr. Cooke actually knows my child’s name, he always spends time evaluating the medication dosage and possible side effects and has provided excellent care.
He cares about pts no rushing you out he LISTENS and truly concerned
Dr Cooke is very understanding and caring. He does take him with each patient. He treats you like your his only patient. You may have to wait, But, It's totally worth it!
You sometimes have to wait in his office for a while, and he does cancel appointments. However, he is caring, kind, and takes a lot of time with his patients. He is very knowledgable and if there is a problem with medication he answers almost immediately.
He's laid back, but extremely thorough. He explained things very well & made sure we understood everything.
