I visited Dr Amy Fitzgerald in December 2025. (I am leaving this review under Dr Leake as the reception contact for Dr Fitzgerald is the same as Dr Leake). I was extremely disappointed and unsatisfied with my experience here. I was on a waitlist for several months before receiving an appointment, and it was very expensive as it is privately billed - however this was not an issue as I was hopeful to receive help for polycystic ovarian syndrome. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Leake. She was incredibly welcoming, personable, and made the entire appointment run smoothly with her warm and engaging manner. I would also like to commend the reception staff, who were exceptionally helpful and kind, especially during my repeated calls for directions. Their professionalism and patience were greatly appreciated. A truly positive and seamless experience from start to finish.
Unfortunately, my experiences have not been as positive as these reviews, and I wanted to warn people (especially young women) before booking with her. Firstly, when calling post-Mirena insertion (as per the discharge instructions), I was told multiple times by the nursing staff that I was "too young to be seeing a gynaecologist" and that I "needed to develop a higher pain tolerance." What can I say, I should have gone and seen Dr Leake 10 years ago, I’m a 48 year old that has suffered for years and I have seen many gynaecologists and know one comes even close to her. I have 4 foster children and one with special needs and I was so scared to have a hysterectomy but Dr Leake said all will be fine and I will be home in a day or two and she was spot on, I was home the next day and omg I have had NO pain whatsoever actually I’m still in shock how amazing she was, the dentist is more painful then having a hyst... read more
I like Dr Robyn Leake however her support staff are a disgrace and they do her no favours. I am at a loss to understand why she would continue to employ such rude and incompetent women. They very rarely answer the phone and when they do, their attitude is shameful. They don't reply to emails at all. And, the woman in the main Reception Area who looks after Dr Leake is as rude as it gets.
