I am doing much better now that I am not under the Care of Dr. Wechsler or his NP. They assumed that I had seizures, but never tested me. My Cousin, who is an epileptic Doctor at San Francisco University Hospital, saw a complete list of symptoms, and asked me '...they're putting you on anti-seizure medications for this?' It turns out that my problem is more related to buildup of cerebral spinal fluid after a meningioma resection. The medication that Dr. Wechsler gave me worked only because it acted as a diuretic. I have been attempting to call this doctor for 3 weeks now. I call in attempt to schedule a new appointment, and have left messages, however no one answers or returns calls. I ave called early in the morning (8am) late afternoon (3pm) and mid day (11am) on Mondays -Thursdays. I heard that this was the best practice for epilepsy in Idaho, but if their front desk doesnt answer the phone, how could an epileptic with memory loss hope to have their seizures properly diagnosed?
Very warm and caring provider. I know I’m in great hands with him. Nationally renowned—knows his art, and if you have epilepsy it is a privilege to be his patient!
I've seen him for 15yrs and he's helped me understand and make decisions which have turned my life around towards the best.
He was extremely rude, did not listen and I would not recommend him
Dr. Wechsler has been a huge help in my medication-resistant epilepsy. He arranged brain surgery in Seattle. I have already referred many people I know with epilepsy to whom. Good doctors like him need to be kept around.
Refused to listen to my patient, insisted he was right but his choice of medication made her sicker until she almost couldn't stay in her home. Transferred to another doctor who listened, took her off the med and saved her life.
