From first being greeted at Dr Sew Hoy’s practice by Rebecca and Sarah to having everything explained to me in detail by Dr Sew Hoy, the process of having my hip replacement at the Mater Hospital was utterly seamless. Scans, blood tests, the telephone conversation with the pre-admission clinic, a conversation with the wonderful anaesthetist, Dr Mark Egan, booking in on the day, walking painlessly the following morning and going home within less than 48 hours has been effortless. Hip replacement, anterior. An absolutely brilliant, meticulous job. I had zero pain after the op. I had put up with pain for too many years from what Robert described as "polished bone on bone". Robert's personal attention every day in hospital was wonderful.
Dr Sew Hoy helped me with knee surgery after a torn meniscus. He is incredibly kind and knowledgable. From day one he explained what was going to happen very clearly. He is very patient and takes the time with you so that you are comfortable every step of the way. If I ever need knee surgery again, I will come back to Dr Sew Hoy. I highly recommend!!
