His entire session is comprised of sending you 15+ emails, recommending podcasts, and talking about his views on pharmaceutical drugs (how much he hates them) He will just ask a few questions about your family and work, then talk about all the aforementioned topics. Waste of time.
I found dr Pursseys approach truly and refreshingly great. In the time I was afforded , I was pleasantly surprised at the alternate and hopefully sustainable methods of psychological support. There is no question he has a unique approach but once I was settled and relaxed ,I found his knowledge remarkable . If you require any mental health support please do not see this doctor. He provides you with a questionnaire at the start of the session asking specific questions about friends names, pet names, favourite hobbies etc to provide a details report after your session, during your session he will only speak about himself, send you multiple emails during session (I received over 15) and attempt to sell his publish book/article that’s not relevant to what you have presented for. I referred myself because I needed a pharmaceutical expert after my GP totally stuffed up my medications. I’d love to give 5 stars for Robs knowledge in this area but the excruciating ACT spiel brings it down to 3 and I’m being kind. I could not get a word in. While he is way ahead of other doctors in Brisbane who are still talking about chemical imbalance theories of depression, his ideals mean he pushes hard. My Effexor taper plan was too aggressive.
