I just moved to Stamford and my first experience with Dr. Dettmer was excellent. He is very kind, patient, listens to you and takes your concerns seriously. I was surprised at his level of empathy, because it's not always guaranteed in the medical system. I received very good care from him and highly recommend him as a gastroenterologist.
Dr. Dettmer is EXCELLENT! He is very professional and has done multiple colonoscopies and endoscopies on me. He is very thorough and takes his time to answer any questions.
Best Dr. I ever had! He is extremely knowledgeable with a caring bedside manner…always finds out what’s wrong and works tirelessly to fix it.
I really do dislike leaving negative reviews. I'm a patient of Dr Dettmer, he did my colonoscopy a few years back and now due for repeat. I never realized that bad reviews could be so true. He was fine initially, but to make an appointment!! WOW.. 4 calls to his office, on hold from 20-30 minutes only to be hung up on!! left a message 2 weeks ago for an appointment and no one called me back. Its astonishing. Dr Dettmer was scheduled to p perform and endoscopy and my instructions were to be at Stamford Hospital at 6:30 AM for this procedure. Unfortunately, nobody told Dr. Denmar and he never showed up and I went from midnight without any food or water. Had somebody drive me over to the hospital to find out, he wasn’t even going to be there today at all. I am not happy and I will not recommend him or go back to him at all.
