I really do dislike leaving negative reviews. I'm a patient of Dr Dettmer, he did my colonoscopy a few years back and now due for repeat. I never realized that bad reviews could be so true. He was fine initially, but to make an appointment!! WOW.. 4 calls to his office, on hold from 20-30 minutes only to be hung up on!! left a message 2 weeks ago for an appointment and no one called me back. Its astonishing. Dr Dettmer was scheduled to p perform and endoscopy and my instructions were to be at Stamford Hospital at 6:30 AM for this procedure. Unfortunately, nobody told Dr. Denmar and he never showed up and I went from midnight without any food or water. Had somebody drive me over to the hospital to find out, he wasn’t even going to be there today at all. I am not happy and I will not recommend him or go back to him at all. Last Wednesday I had my Colonoscopy with Dr. Robert Dettmer at the Endoscopy at the Tully Center in Stamford. Dr. Dettmer and the Anesthesiologist and staff did a great job with my Colonoscopy. Dr. Dettmer and staff was very good and professional an friendly. I would recommend him to my family and friends. Firstly, I apoloaize for the long post. My experience with Dr. Dettmer was 3 years ago. He was nice but was not thorough with my treatment with Crohn's. I was facing a Crohn's complication and met him at the hospital. He stated he would have me try Remicade for a treatment. I told him I was on Remicade for a short time over a year ago. He said it was fine and would get the paperwork set up for me to get started. This is when it starts to get bad. When I met with Dr Dettmer, it was at the end of July.
