Dr. Abrams saved my daughter and I. We were flown into his care and had to have an emergency C-section. My daughters heart rate was dropping quickly, do to a sever case of preclampsia. I couldn't be more thankful for him and his teams care at St.Johns. my daughter is now a healthy 12yr.
Out of all of the doctors I've seen at SIU (which feels like a lot) Dr. Abrams is BY FAR the best. He is so kind and informative and you can tell he really cares so much about his patients. Not going to lie, I was a little nervous meeting with a male doctor instead of a female but now I hope I get to see him everytime. He has really made me feel comforted in such a hard time in my life and for that I can't thank him enough!
I loved Dr. Abrams! He makes you feel at ease, even in high-risk pregnancies. I had him for a c-section and he was very patient, explaining the procedure, the recovery, and its necessity in a very calm and understandable way. 10/10 would recommend!
I was flown to Springfield at 32 weeks because I developed preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. I had never met Dr. Abrams until that night but he made my husband and I feel like we had known him the whole time. He was so kind and took time to explain everything even though he was ridiculously busy with many emergency deliveries going on non stop.
