When an appeal was filed on a procedure. Dr. Wheeler now refuses to see a patient because that patient simply wants him to hold up to his word. Words he told an insurance company not the patient, but when the patient finds out those words, he now refuses to see them.
Dr. Wheeler, while being a OB-GYN for 31 years, missed something as simple as my daughter's hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Every other medical person we spoke to after Amelia was transferred to West Virginia University said that it should have been caught at 18 weeks or beyond on an ultrasound. After missing that diagnosis, he didn't even tell us the truth about whether it could have been caught or not. He said it could not have been caught early.
