Probably depends on the condition being treated but I was very disappointed with Dr Donnell for my Dystonia. He insisted that I told him my symptoms were not getting worse when the truth was quite the opposite. When I asked for a referral for Deep Brain Stimulation surgery he was quite dismissive. Fortunately, I found a movement disorder specialist at Dartmouth who was much more thorough, even referring for genetic testing and I am happy to say I had a very successful DBS procedure last summer.

I have been a patient of Dr. Donnell since 2019 for vestibular migraines. He is so kind and patient. He listens to my issues or concerns, and is always attentive. Couldn’t ask for a better neurologist!!

It was a very unpleasant experience. I found another neurologist. It does not surprise me that the neurology department is closing.

To bad the big Beth Israel Lahey Health mega Hospital bean counters are getting rid of his department. Not a problem I'll just take my business to wherever he lands. I wonder how many golden parachutes BILH Board is creating out of this ... read more
