Dr. Scanlan operated on me three different times at the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Both left ankle surgeries failed. He also performed a bunionectomy on me that resulted in a non union. I had an orthopedic surgeon correct the non union by taking bone marrow from my hip, which has resulted in a knot protruding from my hip. The orthopedic surgeon had to also put a metal rod in my foot as another way of correcting the failed bunionectomy.
