This doctor lacks accountability and integrity. Also highly reactive when you ask relevant questions and dismisses valid concerns. Bladder prolapsed after he performed hysterectomy and refuses to rectify. Filing complaint with college of physicians as well as Maple Ridge Hospital.
My mom got a hysterectomy from Dr. Mentz. She has been back to the emergency room 2 times now. The first time was a week after the surgery, she got blood clots the size of baseballs and the second time she was having the same pain she did before she went the first time and since she isn't bleeding they won't do anything to help her. She has expressed something is wrong and no one has decided to help. Dr. Mentz is kind, knowledgable, thorough and professional. Appreciate that he makes his new patients feel welcome and works diligently to help ensure they are in good health. I find Gynaecology appointments to be extremely unpleasant so having a doctor that is understanding helps immensely.
I’ve gotten two referrals to this clinic and they’ve denied me twice saying i am not high risk. My doctor put that i have Type 1 diabetes and am HIGH RISK. They told me i need a referral from the maternity clinic only to be able to get an apt there if they consider me high risk. I’m super frustrated with this clinic and was hopeful in finding care for my high risk pregnancy and this has just left me confused and hopeless in the health care system.
