Dr. Shapiro is the only physician I have who runs very close to the set appointment time. Only once was I kept waiting more than 15 mins, and his staff was sensitive about the wait. He apologized and explained the reason for it (an emergency that came up). NONE of my other physicians have apologized despite being kept waiting for much longer periods (up to 1 hr). I would like to warn other patients about my experience with Dr. Richard Shapiro. In my opinion, this doctor seems more focused on money than patient care. I would also like to add that I underwent an Aquablation procedure with Dr. Shapiro approximately four years ago. Unfortunately, my symptoms eventually returned, and my condition worsened again over time. Forget about any bad reviews! They must be misunderstandings. I was referred to Dr Shapiro by my internist Many years ago as one of the best urologists in the area. He is personable and knowledgeable. His staff is great, very helpful and nice. You can’t find a better Dr. DA
Probably the worst doctor consultation I've ever had. I was trying to schedule an appointment for surgery and had additional questions about the process so I asked Shapiro to call me for my questions. He called me back with very unprofessional manner and was rude, short with me, saying didn't I go over it with you before. It's not like I called him everyday. Dr. Shapiro literally saved my newborn son’s life when he performed an emergency surgery on him. I don’t even think he was on call but a Dr at the hospital knew that he was the right Dr to call and he came. He was so kind and sensitive to my needs as a mom and eased my fears. I’m so grateful he took care of my boy. He healed so well. Thank you Dr. Shapiro, from the bottom of my heart.
