Excellence in hip surgery
I cannot say enough good things about the care I have had with Dr. Jalal. He is a caring, kind and attentive physician who truly puts the patient first. By minimizing the time I had to wait for my surgery, I believe that he has had a profound and positive effect on my overall health and recovery. I could not recommend a better Orthopedic surgeon.
I was referred by IU ER as I injured my knee and it has a history of instability. ER gave me crutches, I was in a wheelchair due to other issues too. He was more concerned about my weight and seemed like he had already made up his mind about me that he was not receptive to anything we (my fiance and I) said. I am extremely happy with the care I received from Dr. Jalal and his staff at IU Arnett. My appointments with the doctor and Amy Spear have always been on time, the staff is very friendly and attentive, and I love the follow up I received after my total hip replacement. I was very afraid of having pain issues but they controlled my pain and discomfort very well and answered all of my questions prior to and following surgery. I went the for my hip, he was more concerned about my smoking than actually addressing why I was there. He asked me what I did for work, and when I said I was retired, he muttered under his breath “Must be nice”. He argued with me about where my neck was fused (he had no imaging and that not why I was there), and was only interested in scheduling an MRI with another IU facility. I will never set foot in another IU facility because of how this doctor treated me and how condescending and arrogant he was. If this is how IU doct... read more
