Dr Rao, his team and the staff at Mount Hospital were fantastic. Kept me informed all the way, managed my expectations and the procedure went well and was less painful than I thought it would be. Had a gastric bypass 3 weeks ago and, so far, everything going well. Long road ahead, bariatric surgery is a tool not a cure, which is fully explained, but following the post op rules and using the available support I know this is going to work. I had an excellent experience with Dr Rao for my SIPS procedure. Dr Rao is experienced, kind, & kept me well informed throughout the entire process. I felt fully supported & everything went smoothly from start to finish.
I was over 180 kg with very bad diabetes (fasting BSL over 16), hypertension, chronic gout and other problems starting to become a big problem and I was on a lot of medication. I had my SIPS surgery with Dr Ravi in August 2022 and I am so glad I did because all my issues went away, no more medication and I am fitter and stronger then I have ever been in my life.
