I cannot recommend Dr Avva enough. I was very nervous to seek out medication for my son and she was very sensitive to that. She spent so much time getting to know him, was not quick to diagnose or prescribe and was conservative in her approach. She is warm, kind, caring and thorough and completely opposite of every experience we’ve ever had with other psychiatrists.

Dr. Avva was very knowledgeable and conservative in her approach with our young daughter’s diagnosis and treatment plan. She was very personable and my daughter felt comfortable with her. I found her to be very warm, insightful, intelligent and personable. Her questions were thoughtful and thorough. She was recommended to us by other medical professionals and a friend. We would recommend her to others without hesitation.

I came to Dr. Avva at a time in my life where I needed extra guidance and mental health support, unfortunately instead of receiving adequate or intimate care, she was distant and cold. She gave copy-paste advice with little to no application to my personal issues. Her subscription of medication was transactional. Dr. Avva attempted to prescribe drugs in response to any issues, selecting them off a objective menu based on a rubric rather than me as a patient.
